Housing America Month

National Housing America Month
October 2015
Every October the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) work collectively to raise awareness of the need for, and the importance of, safe, decent and affordable housing in quality communities. Members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County at the Meade Village Branch helped celebrate Housing America Month by creating a miniature 3D "dream village". While the pre-teens focused on building the shared community buildings like a Boys & Girls Club, Hotel, Community Pool and Fire Department, our younger members focused on hand-crafting small homes for the community. The project culminated with an unveiling and special guests from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the local Police Department, members of NAHRO,  and BGCAA Board Members.
